The pool area is situated next to the clubhouse. It features a Junior Olympic size pool and a separate pool for the little ones. During the swim season the pool is open seven days a week with lifeguards on duty during pool hours. Cowan’s Ford sponsors a swim team and hosts area swim meets. With its generous seating capacity and sun umbrellas, the pool deck offers an excellent site for birthday parties, children and family entertainment events, adult events, and holiday celebrations.

The tennis facility includes four regulation size courts. The courts are hard surface and lighted for evening play. There is also a practice backboard for those players wanting to hone their skills.

A private boat dock and boat launch area is available for the exclusive use of club members and their guests. Lake Norman is extraordinarily popular for fishing as well as other water sports such as water skiing, tubing and jet skiing.

Located on the southwest shore of Lake Norman, the clubhouse includes a banquet room, grille, cozy lounge, card room and a full service pro shop. The outstanding 18-hole par 72 golf course is open year-round for members to either walk or ride. Men, women, senior men and children enjoy very active golf leagues as well as special golf programs and clinics conducted by PGA golf professionals. Cowan’s hosts a variety of organized social events including weddings, banquets, dinners, shag nights, bridge, and children’s holiday parties.
